About Skydive the Sounds

Skydive the Sounds is the result of a partnership founded in 2004 by Sounds Air Travel and Tourism and British Expat skydiving Instructor Neil Bradley. Neil has been involved in the sport of Skydiving since 1992 and has amassed a host of international skydiving qualifications on his travels around the world including Tandem Instructor Examiner. Sounds Air is an established Picton based commercial airline providing a passenger air service between the North and South Island.

The aim of the partners was to provide a tandem skydiving service based on principals of safety, quality of service and a resolve to build a world class adventure tourism business in one of the most stunning parts of New Zealand.

Co owner Neil Bradley says “Your first skydive should be an incredibly special event. When you sign up for a jump you should have confidence in the person with you, confidence in the equipment the aircraft and the operation you have signed up with. It is our aim to give every client 110% to give them this confidence. By doing this the first jump becomes what is for some an incredible once in a life time event and not just an amusement park ride".

Safety First

The aircraft supplied by Sounds Air are all maintained to the highest level, the parachute equipment is state of the art and the staff recognized as being at the top of their field. Skydive the Sounds is proud to be approved by the New Zealand Parachute Industry Associate and because of this the operation is governed by a strict Quality Assurance Manual.
